Getting started

Get your data on the board

There are two ways in. One of them is open today, and it takes about ten minutes of your attention.

The two routes
Open

Connect WHOOP

One click, and your days keep arriving on their own. Nothing to upload, ever.

Open

Upload your export

WHOOP will email you your full history as a file. You upload it here. Open to everyone, and it brings your whole record, not just today.

What to do
  1. 01

    Create your account

An email address and a password. That is the whole form.

    Create an account
  2. 02

    Ask WHOOP for your data

WHOOP does not hand the file over directly. You request it in their app and they email it to you.

    1. 01Open the WHOOP app and tap the menu icon, bottom right.
    2. 02Scroll down and choose Data Export.
    3. 03Pick your date range. Choosing everything gives you the fullest record.
    4. 04Tap Export. WHOOP emails you a link to a zip file. Unzip it.

Most exports arrive within a few minutes. A request for your entire history can take up to 24 hours, so start it now and come back.

  3. 03

    Upload physiological_cycles.csv

That one file out of the zip is the one the leaderboard reads. It holds your daily recovery, strain, sleep and HRV.

Create your account first, then this step opens up.

  4. 04

    Make your profile public

The leaderboard only lists public profiles. Until you turn this on, your data is yours alone and nobody can see your row.

Create your account first, then this step opens up.
